Give Your Condensate Drain a Practical Cleaning Connection

Connect a compatible wet/dry vacuum to an accessible AC condensate-drain opening with this compact adapter. A clear PVC tube, angled black elbow and stepped green cuff bring the connection together while keeping the flow visible.

Check your actual drain opening and vacuum-hose cuff before ordering. Wet/dry vacuum and hose are sold separately.

See the Flow Through the Clear Tube

This actual demonstration shows the adapter connected to an exterior condensate drain and a wet/dry-vacuum hose. The transparent section lets you watch fluid move through the connection as the vacuum runs.

01 · Put Compatible Wet/Dry-Vacuum Suction to Work

Use the adapter to connect a suitable wet/dry vacuum to your condensate-drain outlet. With a correctly matched setup, the vacuum can draw water and loose buildup through the line and into its collection tank.

02 · Keep the Movement in View

The clear PVC section gives you a view of water and loose material moving through the connection. You can watch what is passing through the adapter while the vacuum is operating instead of relying only on a closed hose.

This worked great!! I couldn’t believe how much water was in there. This adapter pulled it straight out! I would recommend this to anyone.

03 · Approach the Drain with a 90-Degree Elbow

The black elbow changes the direction of the connection so the tube and hose can extend away from a matching drain opening. Check the space around your outlet and leave room to position the hose naturally.

04 · Match the Stepped Cuff to Your Hose End

Nested seating rings inside the green cuff provide different surfaces for a matching hose end to engage. Compare the actual shape and dimensions of your vacuum cuff with the adapter, then check the seating before starting the vacuum.

05 · Make the Connection by Hand

The demonstrated setup uses a hand push-fit at the drain and at the hose end. Once you have checked that both connections match, seat the elbow and vacuum cuff firmly and arrange the hose without straining the pipework.

06 · Keep a Compact Accessory with Your Maintenance Tools

At approximately 8.27 inches / 21cm overall, the adapter takes up a modest amount of storage space. Keep it in a convenient tool area so it is easy to find when you next check a compatible condensate-drain setup.

Check the Fit, Connect and Monitor

Follow your HVAC equipment and wet/dry-vacuum instructions for drain maintenance and liquid pickup.

  1. Identify an accessible condensate-drain opening and measure the actual opening and vacuum-hose cuff.
  2. With the vacuum switched off, check that the black elbow and green cuff fit the intended connections.
  3. Seat the adapter at the drain and the compatible vacuum hose in the green end, keeping strain off the pipework.
  4. Configure the wet/dry vacuum for liquid pickup according to its instructions, then operate it while monitoring the clear tube.
  5. Switch the vacuum off before disconnecting. Inspect and handle the collected liquid according to the vacuum's instructions.

A Few Helpful Answers

How do I check whether it will fit my drain and vacuum hose?

Measure the actual drain opening and hose cuff, and compare their shapes with the adapter's connection points. The black elbow's outside diameter is approximately 0.98 inch / 2.5cm. Nominal PVC pipe size alone does not establish fit, including with common 3/4-inch pipe.

What is included in each pack?

Choose 1 Adapter, 2 Adapters or 3 Adapters. A wet/dry vacuum, its hose and HVAC pipework are separate from the adapter pack.

What kind of vacuum should I use?

Use a compatible wet/dry vacuum approved and configured for liquid pickup, following its manufacturer's instructions. A dry-only household vacuum should not be used to collect water.

What can I see through the clear tube?

The transparent section lets you observe water and loose material passing through the adapter while the connected vacuum runs. What is visible depends on the condition of the line and the setup.

Which part of the AC system does it connect to?

It is intended for an accessible, correctly sized condensate-drain opening. Keep refrigerant lines sealed and follow the HVAC equipment's maintenance instructions.

Check Your Connections, Then Choose a Pack

Match the actual drain opening and vacuum cuff, and select the number of adapters you need for your maintenance setup.
